I'm 49 years old, ex 2 Para, currently weighing in at 79kg. I run every day, weight train three times a week, Jujitsu twice a week, and love Beer!
WHAT DO I WANT TO ACHIEVE?
I want give myself a good chance of winning the Paras 10 veteran category once I hit 50 next year!
WHAT CHANGES AM I MAKING?
Training wise I've upped my mileage to eight miles a day, and do one 10 mile Tab at the weekend. The biggest change I am making is to my diet, as it seems I can no longer eat and drink what I like dammit!
MY PLAN FOR 2018 AND BEYOND.
My plan for 2018 is to stick to healthy eating and hard training! I'm trying to enter one half marathon a month and to get my time down to under 1hr 30mins. I'm entering both the Colchester and Catterick Paras 10 races and am aiming to finish these in under 1hr 30mins also. Also entering the Paras 10 Hellrunner in November and aiming to beat last years time of 2hrs 12mins.
